The Crescent Putting Trainer
The Crescent Putting Trainer provides immediate feedback on mishit putts. A simple device that is adhered to the face of the putter blade. Whether the putting stroke is an arm-shoulder stroke with very little hand action, to a stroke that is wristier or hand-dominated, the Crescent Putting Trainer forces you to find the ‘sweet spot’ on each and every putt.
Facts:
- A putt hit toward the toe of the putter blade will tend to move right of the target.
- A putt hit toward the heel of the putter blade will tend to move left of the target.
- A putt hit in the sweet spot or center of the putter blade will tend to move on the intended target line and achieve a preferred end-over-end roll on the putting surface. Result: more holed putts.
- The shape of the Crescent Putting Trainer provides immediate feedback:
- Putts not hit on center will flare quickly right or left depending on the position of the strike against the face of the Crescent.
- Putts not hit on center will provide a sensation in the hands that indicates a mishit.
- The putter blade will continue to flare open or closed or stay square to the line based on contact with the Crescent.
- The application and use of the Crescent Putting Trainer is ‘easy’.
- Locate the ‘sweet spot’ of your putter blade
- Adhere the Crescent to the face of the putter blade
- Begin making putting strokes and adjust your stroke to attain solid hits.
- Practice every day.

Locate the ‘sweet spot’ of your putter by tapping the golf ball against your putter blade. Although the marking on your putter may be correct, it’s always good to verify. You will know when the sweet spot is found as the putter blade will deflect straight back from the tapping of the golf ball.
The Crescent device is best located in the middle of your putter blade.
Line up your verified mark on the putter blade to indicate its actual sweet spot and the marking on the Crescent device, and then remove the backing of the adhesive strip and press firmly into place. You are now ready to begin your practice session.
When struck correctly, the ball will roll end-over-end and have a great chance of finding the cup as long as speed and line are correct.
If the ball is struck left of the center mark of the device, the putt will most likely be pulled, and will miss the left of the hole.
If the ball is struck right of the center mark of the device, the putt will most likely be pushed, and will miss the right of the hole.
